Thirsty Turtle has the BEST wings and hot sauce ever in the world. I'm from Penna and now live in Port St Lucie, Fl and TT is the restaurant that is a MUST TAKE my visitors when I get company . YEAH

BEST WINGS IN TOWN! Yes that's the first thing I can think about when I hear thirsty turtle. I've also had their raw clams and their clam chowder it was delicious. The food is freshly made. They also have TVs everywhere and a big drop down screen it is a great place to go and hang out and even catch a game.

Been here few times since I just moved to the area...when by myself I always sit at the bar. Service is always fast and attentive. Fish and Chips is best around. My "go to" meal! Only negative ever was when I went with my girlfriend and we sat at a table. She asked for water to drink and was to ld we had to order bottle water, and handed her the bottle. Any other time she got a glass of water, no charge. Must have gotten a lot of complaints. Not a fast food joint!

Been here several times and they have relentlessly disappointed. Chicken WAY overcooked, last time the cheeseburger that I ordered was half the size of the bun...With no cheese on it. When I reminded my waitress that I'd ordered a CHEESEburger she promptly retrieved me a single, cold cheese slice and handed it to me. I have not been back since.

The best kept secret in PSL. Love my Sunday Sunday at the tiki bar. Service is great and food is awesome.

We go here all the time. Love the wing sauce and great bar menu. The buffalo chicken pizza is one of our favorites. Atmosphere is hit or miss but we don't mind. Prices are great!

Seems as if this restaurant has no regard for disabilities such as Autism and the food that someone may need to eat! How ignorant can you be!

Service was decent. Live music was even decent. Waited a long time (around 20 mins) for our appetizer which was chips and guac. Chips were not good, guac was terrible. 3 minutes later our food arrives so we didn't have much time to eat our appetizer anyway, which by the way $12 for chips and guac??? Not impressed at all.

Ate here a few weeks ago. Their chicken sandwiches are yummy and they have live music in the evenings. Our food felt like it took forever though but it was busy and during dinner rush.

I ordered chicken wings and they were delicious. It did take a little to long to get the food though.

The first time we went here, we sat at the bar and got wings. The service and the food were both great. The second time, we went on a Monday afternoon and were seated on the patio. No one ever came to take our order and after about 15 minutes, we finally left and went elsewhere.

I love the Thirsty Turtle. Their wings just might tickle my fancy more than Buffalo Wild Wings! I love their outside bar area too! Fun, local place right around the corner from my house. Great for families or just for some drinks with friends. Not many places can be perfect for both. High five. You're A-okay in my book!

I have been coming here since 2007, I used to love this place ... BOY HAS IT CHANGED !! Service is hit or miss unless you know someone , food takes forever to come out and has been mediocre at best lately ... But the real clincher ... DO NOT USE YOUR CREDIT CARD HERE because they will surely screw you over ! Last sat we were charged our $72 bill AND someone else's $220 bill! The manager came over said the funds were credited back to us ... Yeah?? Well here it is now wed , I just checked my bank account and guess what ... The $220 is still missing from my account ! This is highly unacceptable ! Took them seconds to take my money for someone else due to a servers rushed and careless attitude , but now 4-5 days later it still isn't fixed !!!! WTH !!!!! Live and learn !!!!

We've heard great things about this place so we decided to try it out. We went early evening on a weekday and it was not too busy; however, our server seemed more concerned with chatting up her friends at the other table rather than coming to our table. For an appetizer we order the spinach and artichoke dip. It tasted okay, but the cheddar and swiss combination was overwhelming. My husband had the seafood combo with fries. He stated that the fries were the "worst he's ever had" and the seafood was bland. I had the chicken quesadilla, which was pretty good. Pass on the key lime pie. It was way too tart and the whipped cream tasted like it has been sitting in the cool whip tub for a while. You can find a better one for the price at Publix. Overall, for the price and quality of food, I would not visit again.

The atmosphere was laid back relaxing, sports on the many tv's, great music playing. The wings were delicious, sauce was wonderful. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich which turned out to be the best I've had in the area, loads of cheese, onions, and mushrooms! Will definitely recommend and visit again!

I recently moved up here to PSL and had my family over. We all decided to give this place a shot and it was awesome! Great environment, food and service. Will definitely be a return customer.

Used to be a big fan of the chicken wings but last couple times we were disappointed. I think they Need more sauce options too.

Horrible place lately. I've been coming here for 8 years now and I noticed service and food are going down. Look carefully at your food. I can't begin to tell you what was in my wings recently. Look at wait staff and managers. They are not professional and courteous. They need to be replaced. Too bad. Wings are good but what price do you need to pay to get them?!? Go elsewhere my friends. This place used to be good. Not anymore.

Best wings ever! Great staff... I practically moved to PSL to be closer to this place... lol been coming here since 2004/5 when my brother moved to PSL from WPB.

Honestly, I can't comment on their entire menu because I'm addicted to their wings. Seriously. Jesus himself must be back there making those wings because they are the best thing that has ever landed on this earth. They have a garlicky sweetish spiciness to them that is amazing! I love this place and the bands they always have there!

Food was great. Nicer server. Had BBQ flat bread. Was huge and delicious. Spicy BBQ sauce with slightly crunchy flatbread. The tuna melt was enormous and tasty. Reaturant is nice cozy fun place.

We have since returned three times once for lunch and twice for supper. I can now say they are consistent. Our server each time was prompt and courteous. The food each time has been fairly quick, cooked exactly the way it should be and hot. I, personally, am a wings guy; theirs definitely passes muster. The hot sauce is slightly different than most places that use jugs of pre-made since I believe they are making it in the kitchen. We'll done!

The service is so-so (last time the waitress dumped my stepdaughter's drink on her), the conch chowder is average, and the fish tacos are bland. Not a bad sports bar setting, everyone leaves satisfied but not overwhelmed... except... The wings! Holy moly. The wings make up for any shortcomings this place might otherwise have. They have a crispy coating, a nice sweet and spicy sauce, oh man, these are *the best* wings in town. I've eaten a lot of wings along the East coast and throughout the Midwest, and these are my absolute favorite. Any time we eat wings now, we compare them to the Thirsty Turtle. Just writing this review has got me craving these wings and I just finished eating lunch. Without the wings, this would be a two-star review, but as it stands they could dump the rest of the order on the floor, and kick me out the door, as long as they handed me a to-go box with the chicken wings, we'd be good.

The BEST wings anywhere. Extra crispy goodness! Their medium sauce is out of this world. I've had their burgers before and those are good too.

Cute decor and Yankee fan flavor- is this Port St. Lucie Mets country? Food was dissapointing............ Conch chowder was a lttle spicy otherwise unapplealing......Fried clams were good, but steamed veggies were not the freshest and clams were served with a strange red sauce, I asked for tarter sauce. Better are the wings which they seemed to be known for and the yummy onion rings redeemed an otherwise mediocre meal.

  • Steve C.

The wings are AMAZING! Everything else is average. For some reason the cracked conch is not nearly as good as the Thirsty Turtle in Juno Beach.

Great family restaurant. Best wings on town. Servers are very personable. Never had a bad meal there. Always our go to restaurant for dinner or lunch

We went here for lunch a couple weeks ago. Our server seemed nice. I had the pastrami sandwich and my wife had the chicken caesar wrap. The portions were nice. Their fries are amazing. My wife liked her wrap. I loved the sandwich. The pastrami was great and it comes with their hot mustard which is made from scratch. We sat on the outdoor patio which has a large bar and TVs. It seems like a good place to go to catch a game. We'll be going back again soon and from reading the other reviews it sounds like we'll order some wings this time.

We ordered well done wings that came out in 5 minutes. They had obviously been cooked hours before. They were very very dry. Very disappointed ;(

Came here for lunch during the week. The place wasn't very busy but it seemed to take our server forever (he was really nice, so I have to give him some credit). We learned that drafts were $1, so we took advantage of that special as we looked over the menu. We also ordered buffalo wings as an app. I'm not really a fan of chicken on the bone, but they weren't too bad (the others in my group said that they were really good wings). I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap but when my food came, I realized that it was the Ranch Wrap (it's fine, I like ranch). The other two people that I was with ordered Dolphin and they both said that it was really good. Overall, I'd say that this is a great place to go for cheap drinks and decent food. The service could be a little better (especially since the server wrote down our order and still gave me the wrong thing).

Best wings in town. Worst service. I call my orders in to avoid the staff. I leave good tips but they never have the order ready and force you to deal with the bar tender. I tried right when they open but same deal. I work midnights so I ordered a drink and the waitresses and bar tender looked at me rudely. He had to read how to make the drink out of a book. Took 25 minutes to get order. Waitresses yell across the resturant who trains these people? Oysters good but can anyone please tell me where I can get good fried oysters without the nasty attitude? I noticed that the best reviews were by Caucasian people. I am half Hispanic could that be it? I did get good service once from an older man who handed me my order. Please educate/train staff to be professional, pleasant, don't yell, and remember the color of money is all green, don't be prejudiced towards paying customers? There's a counter by the door why can't customers pick up orders there?

Service fairly horrible. Best wings I've ever had. Which makes for a confusing review. Basically, if you have 2+ hours to spend, go for it.

Well I've been a faithful customer of the Thirsty Turtle for 9 +years. Basically since they opened. I can guarantee that every item of food that they serve is as fresh as you can possibly get. I have eaten every item in their menu some many many times. I can also guarantee that if any customer had a bad experience with a server, that server is no longer employed there. The owner "Joe" , his family and the management in this establishment take pride in their work and business. Although it is considered somewhat of a sports bar/restaurant. It is very family oriented and kid friendly. Manager "Sarah" will make you a Mojito to die for during Summer and April's Rum Runners and her smile at their Turtle's Nest Tiki Bar on Saturday afternoons is something that I know many customers look forward to after working all week. It sort of relieves all stress and gives you a fuzzy feeling. Yes, their wings are one of a kind and everyone in the area know this, but from their conch fritters to their NY Strip every bite is tasty and lighty spicy and just perfect. Please keep in mind that this is not an upscale restaurant but a very friendly, warm and delicious neighborhood restaurant with awesome food and great people.

Been there a few dozen times years ago (moved out of Fla.) and just went for some appetizers with the parents. Service seemed a bit slow this evening and the waitress wasn't the most attentive server even though the place wasn't that busy. The food was okay, conch fritters a bit on the mushy side and the cracked conch on the greasy side. The shrimp cocktail was excellent. I also ordered some fish dip which is Mrs. Peter's I think, which BTW is really good. From what I remember the wings are good and the rest of the food I've eaten there was okay, just nothing to write home about. If you're not too picky, you'll go and have fun because the atmosphere is enjoyable for the guys and/or girls hanging out together or to take the family to eat. I would go back because it's close to home.

Excellent grilled grouper sandwich. Nice sized portion of fish. Fresh bun. Excellent French fries. Large portion, tasty fried oysters. Excellent cole slaw, tart and not too much mayo. Well decorated, good atmosphere.

This place is great for casual dining! Service is usually great but you'll get an unfriendly server ever once in a long while.

My family has lived a few blocks from this place for 5 years and that's how many times we've gone here: 5. We venture into this place once a year hoping that things have changed...they haven't. If you go here you will wait so long for your food, you will have forgotten what you've ordered. This is a consistent fact. And every time we've came here, either the servers are rude jerks because we want to split the check or something goes wrong with the order. For instance, the last time we took our chances here, the food took FOREVER to get to us, so we decided to have some draft beers which our server said was 1$. So after a few rounds the food finally came out and we ate. The bill was way more expensive than we thought. We talked to the server and he said he was wrong about the beers being $1. They were $3. Yet, he never told us anything as he kept bringing them out. We talked to the manager there and she said there's nothing she could do and walked away. So rude and unprofessional. Never go to this place! It's the worst service and they treat you horribly. And also the food is sub par. I ordered a house salad and they brought out a plate of lettuce with carrot shavings on it...so lame.
